Samsung has unveiled one more budget Android smartphone Star 2 Plus in India with the hope of competing against other budget Android smartphones such as Moto E and Asus Zenfone 4. The new Samsung Galaxy Star 2 Plus price in India is Rs.7335.
Samsung also unveiled one more smartphone Galaxy Ace NXT smartphone with the same price. Samsung Galaxy Star 2 Plus has 4.3 inch display screen with a resolution of 480x800p. The device is powered by 1.2GHz processor with 512MB of RAM. Star 2 Plus runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with Touchwiz skin.
Samsung Galaxy Star 2 Plus comes with 4GB of RAM and supports miroSD card upto 32GB. It has 3MP primary camera and 1800mAh battery. Connectivity features of the device are 2G, 3G, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, USB tethering. The PC suite for Samsung Galaxy Star 2 Plus is Samsung Kies 2.0.
Samsung Galaxy Ace NXT has same specification and software as that of Star 2 plus. But it has 4 inch screen and 1500mAh battery.
Though these two smartphones are targeted for the budget conscious customers and to compete with other budget smartphone, in my views it failed in that. When we compare the specifications of Moto E or Asus Zenfone 4 with Star 2 plus, we will come to know that, the Star 2 plus specification is very low and price is high.
