Samsung has unveiled the latest Android smartphone Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2. Currently the device is listed on Samsung's India Online store. The Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 price in India is Rs.10,999. But there is no official word on the availability. Currently store page provides only 'Notify Me' option for consumer. Other online stores too listed with a discounted price of Rs.10,730 with roughly 3 business days of delivery time.
Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 is powered by 1.2GHz processor with 768MB of RAM. The device supports Dual SIm GSM+GSM and runs on Android 4.2 JellyBean with Touchwiz UI on top.
The Samsung has not done any changes to display. It remained the same 4 inch WVGA screen which is seen in the Samsung Galaxy S Duos. Even the camera remained with 5MP primary camera and VGA front facing camera. The internal memory of the device is 4GB which can further extended via microSD card upto 64GB.
From the connectivity front, Galaxy S Duos 2 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, EDGE, GPRS and 3G. As the device runs on Android 4.2, the compatible PC suite for Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 will be Samsung Kies 2.6. Other standard features like USB tethering(Using Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 as modem to connect to internet via USB cable) and WiFi tethering also supported. The device houses 1500 mAh battery which can provide upto 8 hours of talk time and 280 hours of standby time. The dimension of this latest Samsung Dual sim Android phone is 121.5x63.1x10.57mm and weighs 118 grams.
Samsung recently launched successor to Galaxy Grand with Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 and for Galaxy Ace 3 which is the successor for Galaxy Ace 2. Though these are successor, there is not much change in terms of specs. Little bit processor upgrade and latest Android version. In Galaxy Grand 2, they have improved the display resolution.
