Sony has launched a new 4.6 inch HD screen Android smartphone in Indian Market. The new Sony Xperia SP price is ₹27,490 and runs on Android 4.1 Android Jelly bean OS.
Sony Xperia SP is powered by 1.7GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 320 GPU. The internal memory of the device is 8GB and it can be expanded upto 32 GB through microSD.
Sony Xperia SP sports 8 MP autofocus camera with LED flash and a VGA front facing camera. As per the official communication from Sony, the device comes with a color changing 'transparent element with customised illumination, which can be customised to alert incoming calls and text messages. The illumination can be used to pulse the favorite music.
As mentioned earlier, Xperia SP runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and as per company sources, it will get Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update. For connectivity, the device supports Wi-Fi 820.11 a/b/g/n, DNLA, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and GPS with Glonass. The device is powered by 2370 mAh battery.
The Sony Xperia SP will be available in two colours namely black and white. The device comes with a free phone case worth Rs. 1990.
The Xperia SP is the third smartphone launched in India from Sony with full HD display screen. The other two smartphones are Xperia Z and Xperia ZL.
